§ 17-5. Pipeline permits required.
(a)
All persons desiring to construct pipelines in the town that may cross, traverse or affect roadways, rights-of-way, ditches, canals, bayous, lakes, streams, levees, and other bodies of water, under the authority and control of the town, shall apply for and execute a project permit from the town in the form and under the terms and conditions set out in such permit, a copy of which is available to any applicant at the office of the town hall.
(b)
Whoever undertakes the construction of a pipeline as it affects roadways, rights-of-way, ditches, canals, bayous, lakes, streams, levees, and other bodies of water, under the authority and control of the town, without first obtaining a permit as provided herein shall be guilty of misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be subject to punishment as provided in section 1-8 of this Code.
