Latest version.
  • (1)

Each customer of the city provided sanitation service shall pay the full amount charged for such service.

    (2)

In the event that a customer fails or refuses to timely pay for sanitation service provided by the city, a payment default shall result, in which case the mayor, in his sole discretion, may order the discontinuation of sanitation service to such customer and take such other action as may be deemed by the mayor to be necessary or appropriate in accordance with the city's sanitation service policies. In addition, the city may, but shall not be obligated to, discontinue the provision of all municipal services to such customer, including but not limited to water service, natural gas service, sewage disposal service and sanitation service. This remedy shall be available to the city regardless of whether or not such customer is delinquent in the payment for any other municipal services received from the city.

    (3)

The provisions of this section permitting the city to discontinue the provision of municipal services to a customer in default shall also apply to any customer who is the guarantor on any account which is in default.
